Yep. Elanor is 9 months as of September 10th. I can't believe how fast it has gone. She is developing her personality and I am so excited to see who she is becoming, but at the same time want her to stay my little, cuddly, baby forever.
This picture was rather difficult to get, as she kept getting down and crawling towards me (she wanted the camera). My mom got this dress for her in Bath, England---I love it!
Elanor is crawling everywhere---fast. She comes when called (does that make her sound like a dog?). Elanor can also point now and points when she wants something or at people (I might have to work with her on that one...).She loves walking while holding our hands or a piece of furniture. I have a feeling she will be walking on her own soon...
She was sitting on my lap here and decided to slide off onto the floor. Pretty cute. She has not said any words yet, except mama and dada, but definitely tries to communicate her desires--even if that means screaming--which is oh, so frustrating.
She is a charmer. People like her and she likes them. On our walks, in the grocery store, at church, people are always drawn to her---or should I say, Elanor draws people to her with her smiles, coos, and excited kicking. She loves kids and babies even more than adults. Tyler and I are Primary teachers at church (we teach 9 year olds) and the first hour of church is Sharing/Singing time, which means all the kids (3-11) are together. Elanor is in heaven, especially since our class is all boys and so is the class behind us. They give her so much attention, that they don't pay attention, so I often have to remove her from their presence. It is really quite cute though to see Elanor standing up on a chair smiling and "talking" to boys behind and beside her. She loves attention.
Elanor likes to climb and get into everything! She especially enjoys pulling the books off of the shelf. I tell her "no", over and over and let her know that the books are "mommy and daddy's". Maybe it will sink in one day... I let her play with her books all she wants though. She loves chewing on them, turning the pages and looking at the pictures. Elanor continues to look forward to being read to before every nap and bedtime. She will be a good reader (and enjoy it), if I have anything to say about it!
Elanor also got her first tooth! I need to get a picture, but she is quite keen on keeping it hidden. The teething experience was not completely terrible, but not too swell either. Needless to say, she loved her baby Ibuprofen and so did we.
Elanor is such a fun baby and we are so glad she is a part of our family!
She is so dang cute! Seriously, so beautiful. Our babies are growing too fast! Hope you guys are doing well :)
