I sort of made up this recipe. I felt like making cookies, but wanted some chocolate in them, but I did not have any chocolate chips. I did have Nutella though! I think Nutella and peanut butter go well together (I often eat both together on a spoon), so I used a basic peanut butter cookie recipe and altered it to include Nutella. I added half of the peanut butter and put in the Nutella for the other half. I also added a half cup more flour because Nutella is a little more creamy than peanut butter.
Oh, and I had a little helper. |
So do you want the recipe?
She is wearing one of my aprons! Too cute. |
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter (softened)
3/4 cup peanut butter and Nutella (half peanut butter, half Nutella)
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
Nutella for spreading on top
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
Put your butter and peanut butter and Nutella in a large bowl and cream together. Add the sugars and cream together until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg. Add the vanilla and milk, beat well. Slowly add the dry ingredients with your mixer on low speed.
Let your little one (or you, or your husband or whoever loves cookie dough!) enjoy the beater/beaters.
Form the cookie dough into balls and slightly pat down to make a flat top.
Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes....
Elanor waiting for the cookies!!!---She keeps a close eye on them. :)
Take out of the oven before they are completely finished baking and let them finish on the pan for 5-10 minutes before removing to wire cooling racks.
Once cooled (a bit) frost with as much Nutella as you choose and eat with a large glass of milk.
I loved this post! How could I not it features, nutella, peanut butter and most importantly..ELANOR being extremely adorable. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Elanor was pretty excited about these cookies and tried to grab some cookie dough anytime she could.
DeleteElanor makes for a very good advert, though I don't think that was the original intention.
ReplyDeleteNo it wasn't, but it does work I suppose. :)
