Two Months

Our little Alice is two months old! She had her doctors appointment today and is still not on the charts. However, she is growing and healthy. Alice weighs 7 pounds 13 ounces and she is 20.5 inches. So, she is about the size of a regular newborn now!

Alice is an incredibly sweet and adorable baby. She has been smiling for about two weeks now and it is pretty much the cutest thing. Alice is especially smiley after she eats at 8:00 at night. I'm not sure why at that particular time, but it seems to be the trend. She has been cooing a bit as well, but is not nearly as talkative as Elanor was.

Alice has really blue eyes, which you cannot really see in these pictures. Her cheeks seem to be the only place gaining weight. They are awfully pinchable cheeks!

Alice loves to nurse, be outside, be held and talked to, likes to be swaddled when sleepy, she loves looking out windows (especially the one above her changing table) and loves being in the Ergo carrier. She does not like to lay on her back in the bath (she likes to be sitting up), and  she does not love changing clothes. Alice has an impressive set of lungs. She can cry very loud. She was born with that volume. Besides her loud crying, she seems to have a fairly sweet and mild personality. I'm excited to get to know her, as I have a feeling she is a pretty special little girl.

Two Months.

Elanor will be 8 weeks tomorrow. She had her two month appointment today and I just can't believe she is already two months. Elanor is now 9 pounds, 13 ounces and 22 1/2 inches long. She is doing marvelously, besides those times when she knows what she wants, such as sleep for instance, but won't sleep until she has had a good cry. I don't understand it and I don't think she does either. Elanor smiles a lot and is making so many noises. To see a video of her click: here. I think she is going to be a talker. She loves being held, getting her diaper changed, looking at her mobile and dancing to music. Her favorites (as far as I can tell--she seems to enjoy them and calm down when they are played) are Bob Marley, Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, Bach, and the calm Lord of the Rings songs.

Here are some recent pictures:

Looking at Tyler

Her sad face is so cute, but so pathetically sad too.

She looks like such a chunk here, but you can see her cute little dimple.
