Easter

We had a great Easter weekend! The only problem is I somehow sort of forgot about going to Easter events. I thought about it late in the afternoon on Saturday and thought that there were probably some Easter egg hunts we could have gone to. Oh, well. Next year, I guess!

We dyed and painted eggs on Saturday night. We decided to try dying eggs with an all-natural food based dye this year that we found at Whole foods. It is a powdered stuff and you pour it into the water while the eggs boil. So, we boiled eggs in 4 different pots and 4 colors. Then, we let Elanor paint a few eggs with her water colors. I really liked the way the eggs turned out and they were really pretty!

The video is of Elanor painting an Easter egg for those who are interested.

On Easter morning, we woke up around 7 and Elanor went out into the living room to see what the Easter Bunny brought her. She dug right into the jelly beans. Then, we had her start looking for the eggs the Easter Bunny hid. She did a great job at finding eggs and really enjoyed it! She did get distracted occasionally (mostly by the new stuff she got from the Easter Bunny). Then, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and hurried and finished getting ready for church, which was at 9.

Sorry, this is a really long video and it is pretty shaky too. It is the whole Easter egg hunt!

After church, we had a big(ish) Easter lunch. Later, we went with my aunt's family and had Easter dinner down in Provo. We had a great Easter and we are so thankful for our families, and our many blessings. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
